I pull the covers over my head
Please make it go away

My heart is racing, my palms are sweating
I can barely breathe

I pull back the covers and open my eyes
Nothing is there

I can't go back into the dark
But it's pulling me in

I swore I'd never be that way again
So why am I going back?

I don't want to be sad

I lie to my friends everyday
